Position summary
The Contract Sales Executive reports to the Vice President - Construction Services
Located in Indianapolis IN
Full-Time
Remote (within Indianapolis area)
The Contract Sales Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth by proactively identifying and pursuing sales opportunities within the foodservice industry in this commission eligible position in the Indianapolis territory. This role requires a deep understanding of foodservice equipment, kitchen layout and operations, coupled with the ability to provide expert consultation and tailored solutions to clients. The salesperson will build and maintain strong client relationships, conduct product demonstrations, and manage the sales process from initial contact to post-sale follow-up.
Essential functions & responsibilities Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand client requirements and provide tailored solutions.
Provide expert consultation to clients on equipment selection, layout, and functionality.
Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, from initial contact to post-sale follow-up.
Sales Strategy and Target Achievement:
Identify specific segments within the foodservice industry (e.g., new openings, renovations, expansions).
Build relationships with chefs, restaurant owners, and hospitality operators.
Develop targeted cold calling and emailing campaigns.
Conduct on-site visits to potential clients to assess their needs and offer personalized solutions
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and networking.
Maintain a well-organized and updated sales pipeline.
Track and report on sales metrics, providing regular updates to the management team.
Utilize technology tools to manage leads, opportunities, and client interactions.
Competencies
A deep understanding of the features, benefits, and technical specifications of various foodservice equipment
Proven ability to identify, qualify, and close sales. This includes strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills
Be able to accurately field measure and quote projects
Ability to read and interpret blue prints
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
Ability to understand and meet the needs of clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and market conditions
Ability to collaborate with internal teams to achieve common goals.
Qualifications & experience
Strong understanding of the foodservice industry, including restaurant operations, kitchen layouts, and equipment functionality.
Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets, preferably in the foodservice or related industry.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients, fostering long-term relationships.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage sales pipelines, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding and interpretation of technical specifications, blueprints, and installation requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent military or practical experience.
Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
Pay range and benefits disclosure: The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered a general guideline. Pay will reflect the candidate’s qualifications and may be higher or lower based on geographic location and other factors. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in TriMark’s benefits programs, including medical, dental, visionary, 401K with employer match, and potential bonuses for leadership roles.
