Job description:
Position Summary As a member of the corporate accounting team, you will be responsible for supporting accurate and timely financial reporting. This includes preparing general ledger account reconciliations, journal entries, capital expenditure reporting, and CapEx account management. The Staff Accountant will contribute to monthly financial close processes, assist in preparing financial statements, and support audits and budget preparation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional eager to gain exposure to all aspects of general ledger accounting in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
- Prepare and review reconciliations, journal entries, and support schedules.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and complete month-end close activities.
- Assist with preparing financial statements and monthly Board reports.
- Support financial analyses, forecasts, and capital expenditure reconciliations.
- Review accounts payable to ensure accurate application of payments.
- Contribute to annual financial audits and annual budget preparation.
- Collaborate with Finance and Accounting staff and management on various projects.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of two years of accounting experience.
- General ledger and fixed asset accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
- CPA license or CPA eligibility preferred.
