The IT Support Specialist will provide comprehensive technical support to all company employees in a dynamic production environment at our manufacturing facility in Sparta. Some key responsibilities include installation, maintenance, and upgrades of personal computer systems, software, and IT infrastructure. This position is also involved in coordinating/leading new hire onboarding orientation and ongoing training to ensure effective system usage and productivity.
How you\'ll help the formula:
Provide quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards.
Install, configure, and repair computer hardware, software, and related devices.
Schedule and perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of end user equipment.
Responsible for inventory of computer related hardware and accessories.
Ensure proper routing and escalation of Service Desk tickets.
Keep current on new technology that may be applicable within the organization.
Perform other tasks as assigned by IT Management.
Provide after-hours or weekend support during critical incidents or scheduled maintenance windows (as needed).
Other duties as assigned.
Key elements for your role:
CompTIA A+, Network+, or a comparable certification (required within 6 months of hire).
Minimum 2 years in PC hardware/software installation, maintenance, and support, particularly in Microsoft Windows environments.
Foundational knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently under general supervision.
Proven experience contributing to team success.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. English required; Spanish or German is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel, including internationally (up to 10%).
