Operations Project Manager - Reactive Chemistry Specialist. Fully Remote • TX. Full-time. At Refined Technologies, we lead in the chemical cleaning segment of the refining industry, providing patented chemistries, processes, and equipment for cleaning and treating units during shutdowns. Our mission emphasizes values such as operating with an eternal purpose to guide excellence. We are growing our team of Artisans with a Reactive Chemistry Specialist. This position oversees projects related to the neutralization and passivation of refining and petrochemical processes, including acid washes, caustic treatments, and metal treating. The Reactive Chemistry Specialist is responsible for planning and executing RTI’s reactive chemistry processes, helping build and maintain a training program for the RTI operations organization, and finding additional applications for our technologies within and outside the refining industry. Locations:

Houston, TX – Golden Triangle – Lake Charles, LA Responsibilities

Demonstrate ownership, improve, and grow the business. Develop relationships and regularly interface with clients’ maintenance, operations, engineering, and turnaround leadership teams (e.g., Area Supervisor and one level up). Ensure continuous improvements, consistency, and identify new applications and markets. Lead technical business development discussions with clients. Review neutralization plans for RC projects, provide operations approval for RC projects, and perform field reviews of major projects. Participate in post-project reviews. Provide in-field supervision for key projects. Lead projects as necessary. Review client shutdown procedures to improve clearing plans and integrate RTI Neutralization procedures. Coordinate with Directors of Business Development or Supervisors for chemistry allocation and related project needs. Support creation of a culture of learning and continuous improvement for the RC business. Identify business opportunities in new industries and additional applications in the refining industry. Assist in developing acid-washing processes for the operations organization. Help develop and maintain all applicable work processes and standards. Help develop and maintain a training and certification process for the broader organization. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory responsibilities: No direct supervisory responsibility; indirectly will supervise project plans and executions. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Familiarity with the operations of refineries, chemical plants, and/or upgraders. Minimum of 5 years of process engineering or operations experience at a refinery, chemical plant, or upgrader. Additional or Preferred Qualifications Sulfuric alkylation process operations experience High pH / low pH neutralization experience Experience as a chemist in a refinery and/or petrochemical facility Demonstrate RTI values and core behaviors continually Ability to confidently lead a team of Operations Managers that plan and execute work Lead by example in planning, executing, and driving successful projects Clear and effective communication Ability to manage multiple activities concurrently Thorough review of cleaning plans Comfortable meeting with client leadership Occasional project planning and execution Adaptability to changing priorities Working Conditions

The company requires passing a pre-employment physical to determine ability to safely meet the job’s physical demands. Duration of Work Hours During Project Executions: Typically 12 hours, may extend to 16–18 hours for emergent needs, for up to 14 days in a row. Day shift and/or night shift. Working Conditions During Project Executions: Uneven or unstable ground, wet, muddy, or slippery surfaces and footings. Outdoor locations with extreme temperatures and weather (wind, rain, snow, etc.). Routine, intermittent exposure to noise above 85 dBA-TWA. Environments requiring respiratory protection for the shift; may include half-face, full-face, or supplied air Medical clearance to use respiratory protection is required; quantitative fit testing for specific respiratory protection is required. Physical Demands: Work at heights up to 150 ft/45 m via stairs, ladders, or critical lifts; ability to climb ladders and stairs without issue. Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs; pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs. Standing and walking for 12–16 hours daily with minimal rest; may involve 10,000–15,000+ steps per day. Bending, stooping, twisting, and tool use (valves, wrenches, etc.). Travel Requirements
