The Boeing Company is seeking Flight Simulation Software Engineers (Experienced and Senior) to join our team in Daytona Beach, FL. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

Roles involve software development for tools and models within our simulation infrastructure in the Flight Simulation Labs organization. Selected candidates will be aligned to a statement of work that best suits their interests and skillset, some of which could include:

Creating core simulation infrastructure to serve as a jumping-off point for programs developing flight simulation capabilities

Developing tools to simulate, monitor, and control digital messages between subsystems in a lab environment

Support modeling of various aircraft capabilities, including the ability to run constructive scenarios in a testing environment for development of our products and to support training efforts.

Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Experienced and Senior Level Software Engineers.

Daytona Beach is the company's newest state-of-the-art facility focused on engineering excellence. Florida offers no state income tax and a variety of other desirable personal and financial benefits.

This position might require frequent business travels (20% - 30%) to St. Louis, MO for the first 3 months of employment.

Position Responsibilities

Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems

Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system

Supports development of simulation environments to support testing performed by Mission Systems engineers

Works on an agile team in order to accomplish team goals

Executes and documents software research and development projects

Works under general direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Experience as a Software Engineer

2+ years of professional experience programming in C++

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Bachelor's, Master or Doctor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Experienced Level: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Senior Level: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience in the defense or avionics industry

Experience with requirements writing

Knowledge of basic networking principles

Experience working on an Agile team using Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira

Strong coordination and communication skills

Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment while supporting multiple concurrent activities

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Experienced Engineer: $102,850.00 - $139,150.00.

Summary pay range for Senior Engineer: $123,250.00 - $166,750.00.
