What This Job Involves:
As a Senior Project Manager at JLL, you will lead a team that supports business initiatives by developing solutions for special projects involving space planning, graphic solutions, and construction requests. This role combines team leadership with hands-on project management, requiring you to develop plans for minor construction supporting move projects and standalone business initiatives. You'll communicate all related activities from initiation through implementation and completion, working closely with multiple team members and stakeholders to deliver cost-effective and efficient solutions that meet client needs and regulatory requirements. What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like:
Lead a small team of Construction Project Managers and provide support as necessary Gather details and develop scope of work that provides viable, cost-effective, and efficient solutions Conduct project meetings, SME meetings, work-in-progress site walks, and punch walks with detailed documentation Develop schedules and vendor work authorizations for all trades involved in minor construction efforts Manage client approval process including scope development, concept plans, cost estimates, and schedules Plan, coordinate, and implement complex efforts requiring multiple trades from initiation to execution Coordinate with client, furniture warehouse, and furniture management teams to determine requirements Maintain budgets, purchase orders, and change orders while managing vendor work authorizations and invoicing Required Qualifications:
Minimum 7+ years professional experience in construction project management Proficient in AutoCAD, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, including advanced negotiation skills Solid customer service acumen and interpersonal relationship skills Demonstrated team and collaboration skills with strong organizational abilities Strong and proven technical aptitude with attention to detail and quality Willingness to take ownership of requests, prioritize, and meet deadlines B.S. or B.A. in Interior Design/Architecture/Construction Management or related discipline Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years professional experience in supervisory/leadership role Knowledge of local government building codes for tenant improvement/minor construction processes Understanding of ADA compliance requirements and plan development Experience with document management and project close-out processes Ability to implement standard document filing programs and manage throughout project lifecycle Experience setting up vendors in various systems and verifying compliance requirements Background in furniture coordination and warehouse management Location:
