Senior Desk Adjuster – Casualty

to join our team. This position focuses on investigating and managing auto claims, finalizing coverage and liability determinations, developing damages, and settling claims. What You’ll Do: Investigate the origin and cause of claims by contacting insureds, claimants, witnesses, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, and other relevant parties. Handle both first-party and third-party bodily injury claims across multiple policy types and endorsements. Respond to customer inquiries, make appropriate decisions, and close files as needed. Interpret and apply policies, leases, by-laws, declarations, articles, and contract coverages to assigned losses. Make independent decisions, self-supervise most files, and recognize when assistance is needed. Proactively communicate claim process and status to all parties, answer questions, or redirect inquiries. Identify complex issues and seek assistance as necessary, handling claims in good faith. Evaluate bodily injury damages and negotiate claims with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and public adjusters. Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for less experienced adjusters. Perform other assignments or participate in projects based on skills and experience. What it Takes: Experience in providing customer-driven solutions and support. Extensive knowledge of claim handling processes. Experience managing first-party and third-party, multi-line claims, from simple to moderately complex. Strong understanding of policies and endorsements. Ability to obtain state-specific property casualty claims licensing. Travel requirements up to 10%, with up to 75% travel for catastrophe responses.
