SUMMARY The Technical Trades Talent Development Specialist will partner with colleagues and company leaders to drive innovative and high-impact technical trades talent development programs and initiatives aligned with Pella Corporation’s strategic goals and vision. Responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and measuring comprehensive solutions, action plans, and training to improve individual and team performance. Manages the Technical Trades development and placement programs; develops and deploys key technical trades development curricula; provides assessment diagnostics and consultative coaching to individuals, teams and managers within the Technical Trades areas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the design, development, implementation, evaluation and ongoing improvement of Technical Trades development curricula and programs, including ownership of Pella Corporation’s Technical Trades Development and Placement programs. Design, develop, manage and facilitate innovative and effective learning solutions around technical skill & knowledge development, orientation and onboarding. Identify metrics and indicators to evaluate the success and value of solutions. Manage assigned programs from start to finish; includes defining project goals and scope, identifying impact and measures, securing approval, developing content and materials, driving adoption and implementation, change management and communication. Collaborates with HR business partners, Technical Trades Core Team, internal customers, and key leaders on program development and strategic alignment of programs and services. Leads the coordination and oversight of curriculum design and development for internally developed courses specific to Technical Trades development. Vets, selects, partners, and manages third-party vendors for externally developed courses specific to talent development. Analyzes workforce trends, program evaluations, and best practice data to continuously improve program offerings. Develops strategy and oversees management of orientation and onboarding of Pella Corporation Technical Trades team members. Continually improves the effectiveness of talent assessment tools used in the organization and manage third-party assessment providers. Conducts individual, team and departmental assessments to determine appropriate intervention to improve team member and company engagement and effectiveness. Provides consultative coaching services to individuals, teams, and managers to improve performance and engagement in Technical Trades. Serve as subject matter expert and internal consultant regarding Technical Trades development best practices; stays abreast the latest developments in Technical Trades development, learning methods, and engagement. Shares and adopts new approaches to deliver cutting edge Technical Trades development solutions. Complete and share evaluation/measurement reports to show effectiveness of development programs and courses. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES May directly supervise one or more factory hourly or non-exempt employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Working knowledge of adult learning theory and employee development methods including instructor-led and virtual classroom delivery. Curriculum development background a plus. Extremely strong written and oral communication skills including presentation and facilitation skills. Experience leading teams and/or managing others. Learner who is highly curious. Gravitates towards difficult people situations and navigates hard conversations with openness, honesty, grace, and integrity. Trustworthy, holds information in complete confidence. Knowledge and certifications for personality, strengths, and competency assessments – HBDI, Strengths Finder 2.0, Meyers Briggs, and EQ360 preferred. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with an emphasis on adult learning and/or Technical Trades; or equivalent related experience in education and training of technical skills, required. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Organization Development, Industrial Technology, Human Resources or related field, and related experience including professional facilitation and advising/influencing internal stakeholders preferred.
