Phlebotomist
Privia Laboratory is seeking a skilled, reliable, and patient-focused Phlebotomist to join our dedicated team. This role is essential in providing exceptional laboratory services to our partnered clinics and their patients. Training and onboarding will be provided beforehand to ensure a smooth transition. Responsibilities include: Current Phlebotomy Certification Required - NPS, NCCT, NHA, NPA Performs proper procedures to obtain blood specimens, especially when it comes to proper patient identification. Function as liaison between Privia Labs and the physician's office, providing excellent service to patients, providers, and staff. Responsible for ordering and stocking supplies and discarding expired supplies. Unpack supplies and put them away. Review Athena (EHR) requisitions for missing diagnosis codes, recurrent lab orders, and missing information. Print and/or send requisition from EHR to LIS if requested by the office. Ensure proper specimens are drawn for the test(s) ordered. Ensures the phlebotomy area is clean and organized, making sure biohazards and sharps are disposed of properly. Always follow all health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain sanitary and safe work areas. Assist in the main lab when needed. Maintain patient confidentiality. Assist patients in any way needed. Instruct patients on the proper way to collect specimens. Address any issues with the Office Manager, Phlebotomy Lead, Client Service Manager, and Laboratory Manager Attend required staff meetings for Privia Lab and Clinic. Inform the Office Manager, Phlebotomy Lead, Client Service Manager, and Laboratory Services Director of any problems with patient tests, computer equipment, or lab equipment. Other duties as assigned by the Office Manager, Phlebotomy Lead, Client Service Manager, and Laboratory Manager or Clinical Laboratory Director. Job Type: Full-time Scheduled: Full-Time Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per Hour, based on experience
