PURPOSE

The purpose of the Sales Manager position is to implement company strategies and policies to increase sales growth. The Sales Manager will manage and direct all sales activities within their responsibilities. Additionally, they will lead, guide, coach, mentor, and manage the sales team to increase market share. ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team capable of achieving sales objectives. Set performance expectations, sales targets, and KPIs for team members. Develop and implement local sales initiatives aligned with national strategies. Drive account growth and market penetration within the assigned territory. Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitors. Monitor sales productivity in the territory. Report market trends, developments, and competitor information to management. Ensure adherence to cost control measures. Forecast sales based on territory and account data. Build and maintain relationships with distributors, customers, and partners. Train junior sales staff on products, industry knowledge, and sales tools. Conduct distributor training to promote market growth. Leverage CRM activity for sales calls and opportunities. Develop future sales leaders through coaching and guidance. Represent SMC at industry trade shows and job fairs. Standardize sales processes and best practices for efficiency. Collaborate with marketing, product development, and support teams. Use CRM and analytics tools to track and forecast sales performance. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Fast-paced environment with office and field work. Travel required, including extended stays. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs of products and displays. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience. At least three years of supervisory experience. At least three years of experience with SMC or similar industrial sales. Completion of Sales Management training. Thorough knowledge of SMC products, procedures, and sales strategies. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Proficiency in CRM and computer skills, with ability to learn new tools.
