Our company is looking for a project superintendent to oversee our project job sites and construction crews. A project superintendent will be responsible for onsite personnel management and budget management. A bachelors degree and several years of construction experience is required.
Accountable for:
Work with project manager to meet project and budget goals.
Finish projects on-budget and on-time per schedule.
Manage Project subcontractors and suppliers.
Quality workmanship per contract, plans, specs and co standards.
Finish projects on-time per schedule.
Manage job safety program.
No accidents or safety incidents.
Complete project general conditions under budget.
Manage project requirements.
Communicate and liaison with customer on field issues.
Responsibilities:
Review and understand complete project scope, documents, plans, specifications & standards.
Hold daily safety meeting for crew and ensure subcontractors hold daily safety meetings.
Hold weekly jobsite meeting with all subcontractors required on jobsite within the next 30 days.
Hold pre-construction start-up meeting onsite with all subcontractors before job starts.
Prepare 2 to 4 week Look-Ahead schedules weekly & submit to project manager every Friday PM.
Inspect & maintain quality workmanship per industry standards & contract documents.
Ensure all construction is built with quality per the contract, plans, specifications & codes.
Never do extra work without approval of Customer or Project Manager.
Supervise & maintain a clean, safe, well-organized project, and work site.
Manage, coordinate, and call for all City, County, Federal, Utility, Inspections, Locates & Tests required.
Prepare daily report of all activities, workers, inspections, etc. with photos.
Communicate daily with Project Manager to discuss project issues, progress, requirements & goals.
Prepare & Manage SWWPS & Required Reports Weekly & As Required.
Timely ordering of job inspection, material deliveries, locates, testing.
Contact subcontractors & suppliers 3 weeks early before they are needed on job.
Attend project meeting to review overall project.
Ensure company equipment, vehicles & tools are clean, maintained, utilized & job charged.
Call off / Cancel Equipment when work finished with equipment.
Manage jobsite general conditions, temporary facilities & utilities, & jobsite Security.
Maintain, prepare & update As-Builts.
Sign T & M and Material Delivery Tickets Daily & Note Description or Cost Code of what each item is.
Maintain, review & know approved set of plans onsite A/E/M/E/P/C/L.
Learn / Responsible to utilize tablets / iPad Timecards, Tracking, Photos, WOs, Plans, Files, etc.
Fill out incident report & report all crew injuries & site accidents within 24 hours of incident to PM.
Learn / Responsible to utilize Software Programs.
Know & verify approved submittals for all materials Verify on Site Binder of all approved submittals.
Never leave jobsite without a Lead or Foreman in charge.
Enforce Co. Standard Attire Hats, Sleeves, Boots, Glasses, etc. with Crew.
Read, understand, and execute drawings correctly.
Report and track all progress using visual aids/charts daily.
Ensure subcontractors and company crew perform work with the quality specified on specs/dwgs/contract.
Responsible to approve invoices ensuring work invoiced was completed as per contract.
Maintain daily communication with PCA, PM and Crew Managers to plan for labor, materials, and equipment.
Responsible to calculate and report productivities and to forecast completion dates.
Responsible to manage company safety manual and to help subcontractors manage their safety manual.
Read drawings, specs, and schedule to plan labor, materials, and resources.
Manage jobsite signage per company standards.
Manage jobsite deliveries of materials, ensure a safe delivery and that material is handle in a way not to damage it and make sure it is protected from elements and heat as it applies to each material.
Schedule : 8-hour shift

100% License/Certification : Drivers License (Required) Experience Required: 5+ years of commercial construction and project planning experience. OSHA 10/30 Training (Preferred) Education Requirements : Bachelors degree in a construction management field, building science, engineering, or a related field. Strong leadership and communication skills. Expertise in budget and vendor management.
