IT Field Support Specialist, Level 2

What you will be doing! As an IT Field Support Specialist, you will provide on-site and remote Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment. Your responsibilities will include conducting site surveys, assessing and documenting current site configurations along with user requirements, analyzing specifications for hardware acquisitions, developing installation schedules, preparing configuration drawings, and creating installation and test reports. You will also train site personnel and build specialized interconnecting cables. Responsibilities Conduct site surveys and assess current configurations and user needs Analyze requirements and prepare hardware acquisition specifications Develop engineering plans and Technical Design Packages for site installations Create hardware installation schedules Prepare drawings to document configuration changes at each site Generate site installation and test reports Configure computers, communication devices, and peripherals Train personnel on hardware use Build specialized interconnecting cables Troubleshoot, repair, and test IT hardware and teleconferencing equipment Install and configure hardware and cabling Maintain fiber optic and Ethernet systems and telephone systems Update technical drawings using AutoCAD as needed Experience and Education: High school diploma or GED with 5 years of experience, or Associates degree with 2 years of experience Skilled in hardware installation, repair, and troubleshooting Proficient in Windows OS, software applications, and antivirus programs Ability to read technical manuals and schematics Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently and assist end users remotely Experience with Windows 7 and 10, Active Directory Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required Additional Information Independent Software is an Equal Opportunity Employer EOE, M/F/D/V. #J-18808-Ljbffr
