Base pay range $50.00/hr - $55.00/hr Direct message the job poster from The Judge Group Senior Technical Recruiter at The Judge Group Job Title: Software Development Engineer (IBM iSeries AS400) Location: Coral Springs, Florida (Onsite) Contract: 06+ months (Contract to hire) Job Description: This position requires a strong technical background in the tools and services, along with good communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. Must be able to understand, analyze, solve, and test software problems, requests for software enhancements, and queries regarding the Company's services and products, to the customers satisfaction. Overall, must be capable of handling development requests received and executing and completing requirements with minimal supervision and high quality. Primary tasks and responsibilities: Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience working with IBM iSeries (AS400) as a programmer. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field. Required: Bilingual - Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly learn our systems, methodologies, and standards. Ability to adapt easily to changing business priorities, including working on weekends and holidays when required. Ability to work independently or within a team environment. Ability to perform well under pressure in time-sensitive projects. Understanding of IBM iSeries (AS400) operations. Hands-on experience with IBM iSeries languages utilizing RPG, RPGIV, RPG ILE, SQLRPG, CLLE. Deep understanding of IBM iSeries (AS400) ADTS (application development toolset) such as SEU, RLU, SDA, etc. Knowledge of IBM iSeries (AS400) debugging and impact analysis tools. Experience working with source control systems (Aldon CMS) or other change management tools. Responsibilities: Follow applicable internal policies, processes, and procedures. Engage in self-training on current and new system functionalities. Understand and document customer requirements. Research, analyze, and resolve issues. Test and document solutions. Assist clients with training and understanding solutions. Report progress and status to the Project Manager, ensuring timely completion with quality. Education and/or Experience: Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience using AS400 RPGLE and CLLE programming languages.
