Job Overview:

As a Packaging Engineering Co-op in Frisco, TX at Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP), you will be part of an exciting, fast-paced company dedicated to satisfying every customer’s beverage need, anytime, anywhere. You will have real responsibilities and lead projects that contribute to the company's growth and success. With a diverse range of hot and cold beverages, you'll have the opportunity to learn about various packaging platforms, manufacturing processes, and distribution networks.

Shift/Schedule:

  • The KDP 2026 Winter Co-op Program runs from January to June 2026.
  • Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
  • Hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead commercialization packaging projects, including developing new packaging formats.
  • Manage department research or process improvement projects to streamline operations.
  • Develop and refine specifications for primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging.
  • Create prototypes and renderings to support concept development.
  • Support the on-site KDP certified packaging lab with testing and SOP development.
  • Conduct lab, pilot, and scale-up tests, collaborating with labs and manufacturing sites.
  • Gain experience with materials and equipment to understand key metrics.
  • Partner with Procurement and Quality teams for technical support and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Commercial stakeholders to develop technical packaging solutions.
  • Engage with various business processes including Stage Gate, Change Validation, and Test & Trial processes.

Program Elements:

  • Participate in innovative projects within a cross-functional team environment.
  • Attend meet & greets, lunch & learns with executives, and receive professional development training.
  • Be paired with a mentor for guidance and networking.
  • Complete and present a project to stakeholders.

Compensation:

  • $30/hour, paid bi-weekly.
  • $5,000 Sign-on Bonus paid within 30 days of employment.

Requirements:

  • Enrolled as an undergraduate in a full-time program, majoring in Packaging Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Available to work 40 hours/week (M-F, 8 am - 5 pm).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, independently, and proactively.
  • Must have permanent right to work in the U.S.
