Initial Phone Screening - We start with a casual conversation to discuss the basic details of the position and to introduce you to our company culture. During this call, we'll also explain our interview process and answer any questions you may have. In-Person Interview with HR Manager - You'll meet with our HR Manager to further discuss the position, your qualifications, and how you align with our company values. Background Check and Drug Test - To ensure the safety and security of our team and clients, we conduct a thorough background check and drug test as part of our hiring process. Final Interview - Conducted with our Director of Operations and/or President. Summary

The Finish Carpenter is responsible for performing detailed carpentry work, including the installation and repair of trim, cabinetry, doors, molding, and other custom wood features. This role requires an exceptional eye for detail, strong craftsmanship, and the ability to complete high-quality finishing work that meets the expectations of both clients and company standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and related materials for trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, molding, and other finishes. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications. Perform detailed sanding, fitting, and finishing to achieve a professional appearance. Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and locks with precision. Repair or replace damaged woodwork, trim, or cabinetry as needed. Ensure all work meets safety requirements, building codes, and company quality standards. Collaborate with project managers and other trades to maintain project schedules. Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site. Other carpentry-related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a finish carpenter, trim carpenter, or in a related role. Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and finishing methods. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt on-site. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must consistently report to work on time, in proper attire, and with a professional attitude. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Training, Education, and Licensure

High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 3-5 years of finish carpentry experience. OSHA certification and additional trade certifications are a plus. Work Environment

This position operates primarily on residential and commercial job sites. Work may include indoor and outdoor environments and requires adherence to safety guidelines at all times.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

Stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Use hands and arms to handle tools and materials. Lift and move up to 50 pounds. Work at heights on ladders and scaffolding. Have specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and color recognition.
