The Air Dominance and Strike Mechanical Engineering Team
is responsible for designing and integrating advanced hardware for Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms. Air Dominance and Strike Mechanical Engineers own the full development lifecycle, from concept generation, to integration and flight test, ensuring high-performance, resilient, and scalable mechanical systems that meet the demands of complex, contested environments.
WHAT YOU'LL DO • Design and develop mechanical components for avionics LRUs, including enclosures, mounting systems, and thermal management solutions. • Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to integrate mechanical designs with electronic systems. • Conduct detailed analysis and simulations to validate designs under various environmental conditions. • Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including CAD models, drawings, ands pecifications. • Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers. • Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace standards and regulations (e.g., DO-160, MIL-STD). • Support prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting of LRUs. • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness of designs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • B.S. in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience • 5+ years experience in mechanical design of avionics • Siemens NX proficiency • Familiarity with FEA tools • Excellent communication and team skills • Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Thermal analysis proficiency • PLM experience • EMI/EMC familiarity • Active Top secret DoD clearance • Unmanned Air Vehicle design experience
US Salary Range
$129,000-$171,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
