Job Summary:

82 ATRS requires an Engine Utility Man for Watercraft Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Support to 53rd Weapons Evaluation Group (WEG) at Tyndall Air Force Base. The Engine Utility Man and other O&M staff will oversee the operation, maintenance and repairs for the Missile Retrieval (MR) vessels, utility boats (UB), other smaller craft providing military target system retrieval, launch corridor clearance, special mission support, and diving operations. The Engine Utility Man will work for the Chief Engineer who is responsible for MR Fleet Operating systems.

Duties and Responsibilities: Conducts all maintenance and repairs on the MR/UB vessels, ensuring work is performed in accordance with technical orders and standard operating procedures. Assists the Chief Engineer in operation of propulsion and auxiliary engineering equipment and systems while underway. Completes daily, weekly, and monthly logs as required by the Chief Engineer and the Vessel Captain. Completes maintenance and repairs under the supervision of the Chief Engineer to Ensure vessels are ready for operations at all times. Completes required logs to document system parameters for all main and auxiliary engineering equipment, monitoring equipment performance while in operation. Performs Corrective Maintenance, troubleshooting issues with onboard systems. Maintains an accurate inventory of onboard engineering department parts, and supplies. Act as Chief Engineer for up to 30 days if Chief Engineer is unavailable. Qualifications:

Experience as an Engine Utility Man for vessels up to 6,400 horsepower. TWIC card. Five (5) years in Maritime Industry as a Engine Utility Man with common knowledge of marine mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to follow maintenance plans. Ability to follow an operational schedule. Experience in a military environment is preferred, working with the military on a military facility is preferred. Working understanding of all Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds (lbs). All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation. U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Secret Clearance prior to start date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment. Current Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
