We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) with proven experience in commercial ground-up construction. The ideal candidate has previously worked for a general contractor or has comparable experience managing large-scale commercial projects. This person will play a key role in supporting the Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with the highest level of quality and safety. What You'll Do: Assist Project Manager with daily project operations from preconstruction through closeout Review and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation Track project schedules and help keep teams on target with deadlines Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain project flow Monitor cost control, budgets, and job cost reporting Ensure compliance with company safety standards and participate in site walks Prepare progress reports and communicate updates to project stakeholders Support punch list creation and project closeout efforts What You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred 2+ years of experience with commercial ground-up construction projects Previous experience with a general contractor is strongly preferred Knowledge of construction means, methods, and project management best practices Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar) Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with field and office teams Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
