Our client leads the charge in custom-contract manufacturing innovative, efficacious and cosmetically elegant state-of-the-art skin and personal care products!

Title:

QC Lab Technician

Location:

Livermore CA

Pay:

$23-25/hr

Shift:

7am-3:30pm

Contract to hire

Responsibilities:

• Follows all standard operating practices, procedures, and policies of the company.

• Test products at various stages of Production: In-process, Bulk Product and Finished Good.

• Perform routine tests on products such as measuring pH, specific gravity, viscosity, as well as

sensory testing of color, odor, appearance, and texture.

• Prepare and send samples to contract lab and perform follow-up as needed.

• Prepare and send samples to customers.

• Precise and meticulous observation and recording of all details of QC assay, which are not limited

to but including: lot numbers, test results and physical observations of materials.

• Perform daily, weekly, or monthly calibrations of lab equipment and record keeping.

• Keep a clean and organized workspace.

• Perform daily temperature monitoring and documentation.

• Consistently demonstrate the ability to meet and understand company procedures and other

applicable standards.

• Perform additional duties as assigned. Cross train on other QC function.

Skills/Qualifications

BS degree in biology, chemistry or related field with 1-3 years of relevant experience OR Associate’s degree with 5 years of experience.

Laboratory experience in GMP-regulated environment

Basic math & computer skills

Quality experience is a plus (pH, specific gravity, viscosity, color, odor, visual, texture)

Prior experience working in food, cosmetics, manufacturing is highly preferred.
