A reputable network of hospitals and outpatient treatment centers based in New York is looking to staff additional full-time *Radiology Techs* for *13-week contract positions. *Hourly rates range between *$65-$75/hour *based on experience, location, and shift. Schedules may vary but are available in days, evenings, or nights.
*Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities:*
* Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, including routine and specialized X-rays, MRI, or CT scans in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols. * Conduct bone density examinations (DEXA scans) to assess bone health and support the diagnosis of conditions such as osteoporosis. * Prepare patients for imaging by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and addressing any concerns to promote a safe and positive experience. * Accurately position patients and adjust imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure. * Maintain clear and accurate patient records, including documentation of procedures, exposure factors, and any notable observations. * Adhere strictly to radiation safety standards, aseptic techniques, and infection control policies to protect patients, staff, and self. * Work closely with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure appropriate imaging techniques are selected based on clinical indications. * Perform routine checks, maintenance, and quality control tests on X-ray equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
*Radiologic Technologist Requirements:*
* NYS ARRT (R) License & Registration * AHA Basic Life Support Certification * 1+ years experience as a Radiologic Technologist
