We are seeking a part time caring, energetic, and creative

Activity Assistant

to join our Life Enrichment/Activities Department. The role will be three days a week and one Saturday a month with hours being 8:30am to 5:00 pm, more days could be added if needed if you are available and flexible with schedule. The days are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, with one Saturday per month.

The Activity Assistant will play a vital role in planning and implementing a variety of engaging activities to enhance the quality of life for our residents in our long-term care facility. This position will be a primary activity assistant for our memory care residents, many of whom benefit from frequent interactions, sensory stimulation and purposeful activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of daily recreational activities Encourage resident participation in group and individual programs Transport and escort residents to and from activities Set up and clean up activity areas before and after events Document resident participation and preferences in activity programs Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members Support special events, outings, and holiday celebrations Contribute ideas for new and innovative activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required Previous experience in a long-term care or assisted living environment preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to motivate and engage residents with varying levels of physical and cognitive abilities Creative, organized, and dependable Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Must pass a criminal background check, physical and drug screen. Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds Able to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout the shift What We Offer:
