About this Opportunity:
The Quality Mechanical Inspector is responsible to ensure that the quality requirements set forth from the Quality Supervisor, Customer, and the ISO program are achieved and also conveyed as necessary to the appropriate departments.
Responsibilities:
Maintain quality goals on Customer and ISO requirements pertaining to the manufacturing of product. Have authority to release product to the customer. Help in the development and implementation of all training pertaining to quality issues to all employees as needed. Report daily, weekly & monthly quality issues within the quality department as a team to provide accurate information to the Quality Manager as needed to develop reports and strategies pertaining to the manufacture of product for quality related issues. Responsible for performing first article, in process and final inspection on all manufactured product. Provide inspection support in the inspection of raw material, received. Responsible for data collection/entry and maintaining quality records Provide support in the maintenance and continuous development of the calibration program. Assume role as required and directed by Manager, Engineering in quality functions such as internal and external quality audits, process validation activities, quality information systems, process control and monitoring systems, maintaining & improving quality control and testing techniques and equipment. Report to the Director, Engineering on issues regarding the quality department and ISO programs. Consistent use, promotion and adherence of ISO and its procedures throughout the organization and ensure continuous improvement to the ISO system. Requirements
High School or GED (General Educational Development) diploma required. 1 - 5 years' direct experience in a quality related position. Must have knowledge of inspection/test equipment such as micrometers, height gauges, optical comparator, gage blocks, ring and plug gages. Ability to read and interpret blueprints for inspection requirements including the understanding of and ability to measure geometric tolerance feature. Experience using MS Office (Excel and Word). Physical Demand: Must be able to bend, sit, reach and stand for long periods of time. Maybe required to lift, move or set up products.
