Description
The QA/QC Technician is responsible for supporting quality assurance and quality control functions to ensure that products, materials, and processes meet established standards, codes, and project specifications. This role works closely with project production teams, operations, and management to monitor, inspect, and verify compliance with internal procedures and client requirements.
Responsibilities : Lead the inspection team with in-process inspection as defined in the relevant Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and following PMI Quality Management system requirements. The QC Technician is expected to lead by example through his work ethic, professionalism, and leadership. Perform visual weld inspection and complete welding documentation Assist in Hydrostatic Testing Provides direction and guidance to Craft Foremen and Labor Foremen Lead in final inspection and quality check for assembly units Build and complete turnover package for the client Write operational QAQC procedures and conduct related training Meet operational standards by contributing Quality assurance and Quality Control information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems Perform and supervise the QA/QC system requirements acc. to the Quality Management System Assist in the development of construction QAQC execution plans, including cost budget, schedule, risk analysis, and quality assurance Monitor and supervise the implementation of the PMI quality management tools on site (e.g., WELD, ITPs) Accomplish QAQC construction objectives by monitoring site training, communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures Requirements
5-10 years' experience with construction and/or QAQC construction management, mandatory Certified Welding Inspector (AWS CWI) Required, API Certs a plus Highly proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) Experience supervising and coordinating multi-work crews and has a good understanding of methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures required Familiar with ASME Codes, AWS, ASNT, API, and NBIC Codes Valid driver's license preferred Development of Project Turnover Packages a must Development and oversight of NBIC "R" Stamp High School Diploma or GED required Authorized to work in the United States
