The Construction Safety Manager is responsible for implementing and enforcing site safety policies, assisting in planning education and training plans related to safety, performing investigations around incidents, maintaining a drug-free workplace, and reporting potential insurance claims. This role requires collaboration with the safety director, project managers, and other group leaders to maintain organizational safety standards.

Responsibilities

Implement and enforce site safety policies.

Assist in planning and executing safety education and training plans.

Conduct thorough investigations of workplace incidents.

Ensure the maintenance of a drug-free workplace.

Report potential insurance claims in a timely manner.

Collaborate with the safety director, project managers, and other group leaders to uphold safety standards.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in construction safety and management.

Knowledge of OSHA 30 and compliance with OSHA standards.

Ability to communicate safety regulations and standards effectively.

Experience in taking corrective action when required.

Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong communication skills for writing reports, presenting in groups, building trust, and maintaining confidentiality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Construction Health and Safety Certification.

Required completion of OSHA 30.

Relevant industry experience in construction safety and management.

Work Environment

The work environment involves working closely with safety directors, project managers, and various group leaders to ensure safety across all projects. The role requires a detailed understanding of construction safety, OSHA compliance, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
