ABOUT THE TEAM

The Air Defense team builds robots that find other robots and knock them out of the sky. At a time when air superiority can no longer be taken for granted, the Air Defense team provides mission critical capabilities to warfighters. From detection to tracking, identification, deterrence, and defeat, our family of networked sensors and effectors enables our customers to rapidly close the kill chain against a broad range of UAS threats. Working across product, engineering, business development, logistics, operations, and mission success, the Air Defense team develops, tests, deploys, and sustains the Anduril Air Defense Family of Systems in challenging operational environments worldwide. ABOUT THE JOB

Air Defense is a high-octane, rapidly scaling business line that develops, integrates, and fields an expanding mix of mature and novel capabilities to detect and defeat UAS threats. We routinely deploy capability globally to austere environments to meet the needs of personnel and critical infrastructure protection, and rapidly convert that feedback into iterative hardware and software improvement. We are Anduril's flagship business line, and have fielded products like Roadrunner, Anvil, and the Sentry tower.

We are looking for a Capability Lead to drive the rapid development and fielding of our next-generation autonomous detection and defeat products. Detection and defeat solutions are core components of our business line's product offering, and the Fixed Site Capability Lead works across the entire capability lifecycle for Air Defense's next generation detection and defeat products-from early R&D through contract capture, fielding, and sustainment. As a member of the Fixed-Site Capability Development Team (CDT), you will lead capability development teams to rapidly design, deliver, and scale emerging detection capabilities to customers. Your work will fundamentally shape the way the Business Line designs, tests, and fields capability offerings. WHAT YOU'LL DO

Capability Strategy:

you will identify, iterate and publish capability strategy, matched against growth opportunities, technological advancements, and self-driven market research to ensure products under management maintain capability relevancy. You'll be a trusted partner supporting strategic growth and capture initiatives, often serving as a customer-facing voice of your capability's products. You will anticipate and advocate for customer needs to position your products at the forefront of fixed-site detection solutions based on your expert understanding of mission and market fit. Capability Maturation : you will be accountable for driving capability maturation across next generation detection and defeat solutions for Air Defense's Fixed Sites. You'll design product offerings that solve critical customer needs for improved detection capability, sensor fusion, and reduced operator overhead. You will drive integrations for first-party and third-party defeat offerings that diversify Air Defense's Fixed Site capability arsenal. You'll ensure your capability meets customer compliance requirements without sacrificing performance, and you'll evaluate products through operational rigor, expertise in requirements, and cross-functional coordination. Capability Delivery:

you will envision how a product will be used once fielded, then you will lead a team of cross-functional organizations to execute that vision at every stage of the product lifecycle, from prototype to initial fielding. You'll develop and maintain the systems and processes for initial fielding of capabilities to customers, and will deliberately roadmap the handoff from emerging capability to productized solution. Capability Sustainment and Evolution:

you will be on the forefront of iterative product development, even after HW delivery. You'll create and own the systems and processes to maintain capability functionality, and will arm yourself with the processes, tools, and data structures to inform REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree 5+ years as a cross-functional leader in hardware and/or software organizations Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences Proven experience leading tech-enabled teams of peers across specializations Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret / Top Secret security clearance Willing to travel up to 50% of the time* PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience leading rapid prototype development and fielding teams Experience working as a product manager, technical program manager, or product engineer Exposure to robot autonomy, machine learning, sensor fusion, data analytics Demonstrated interest in national security issues and defense technologies *Position is full-time from Irvine, CA but requires regular travel

US Salary Range

$108,000-$162,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
