MRI Technologist: Compensation: $50
$60/hour Location: Westchester County, NY Schedule: Full-time and Part-Time positions availableAdvance your career as an MRI Technologist with our client in Westchester County, NY. In this role, you will prepare patients for MRI exams, operate equipment to capture high-quality images, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate results. Additional responsibilities include documenting in EMR/PACS systems, maintaining equipment, supporting emergency cases, and ensuring patient safety in a fast-paced clinical environment.Responsibilities as the MRI Technologist: Patient Preparation & Care: Prepare and position patients for MRI exams, explain procedures, complete questionnaires, and provide age-appropriate care across all populations. Imaging Quality: Produce high-quality images, review scans for accuracy and completeness, and ensure alignment with physician orders. Clinical & Emergency Support: Assist physicians during procedures, provide STAT and emergency coverage, and support timely diagnostic needs. Equipment Maintenance: Perform calibrations, conduct quality assurance, and report equipment malfunctions promptly. Administrative & Team Support: Manage EMR/PACS documentation, handle phone coverage, print CDs, notify staff of exam completion, and participate in meetings or training as needed. Qualifications for the MRI Technologist: Education: Graduate of an accredited radiography school or hospital-based radiologic technology program required. Licensure: Current New York State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit required. Certification: ARRT (RT) with MRI certification or ARMRIT required; American Heart Association BLS required; IV certification preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MRI operations, EMR, and PACS systems. Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of MRI safety standards, radiation protection, and compliance with NY State and ACR quality assurance protocols. Skills & Attributes: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to provide compassionate care while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced environment.
