RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking a Database Administrator - Oracle 3.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support ERP transitions to Oracle, including planning, database setup, migration, and optimization Administer Oracle databases (on-prem and/or cloud), ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity Design, implement, and maintain database architecture to support ERP systems, including Oracle E-Business Suite, Fusion, or other Oracle ERP applications Perform routine database maintenance, patching, upgrades, and cloning as needed Monitor database performance and conduct tuning to ensure optimal operation Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN or equivalent tools Work closely with ERP functional and technical teams during design, testing, and deployment phases Ensure database security by implementing access controls, auditing, and vulnerability management practices Troubleshoot complex database issues and provide root cause analysis and resolutions Document database configurations, processes, and procedures to support compliance and audit requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience 5-8 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in large enterprise environments Proven experience in ERP system transitions/migrations to Oracle platforms Experience with backup and recovery using RMAN, and familiarity with disaster recovery strategies Expertise with Oracle 12c/19c/21c, Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and OEM Strong knowledge of PL/SQL, performance tuning, and database optimization Ability to work in both Linux/UNIX and Windows environments
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
