Travel Cath Lab Tech - $2,746 per week in Monroe, NC

Job Title: Cardiac Cath Tech Profession: Allied Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab Tech experience License: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS Certifications: Required certifications as mentioned above Must-Have: EPIC/Encompass experience and MERGE is required. Comfortability with scrubbing and recording in various cases. Description: The position involves working in a Cardiac Catheterization laboratory. The lab typically includes prep/recovery bays and a Cath Lab. The daily workflow generally consists of 2-3 catheterizations in the morning. If there are no afternoon procedures, the lab will be used for overflow cases. Patient population may include those requiring cardiac and vascular interventions. Common procedures involve pacemaker and defibrillator placements. Other procedures may include ports, PICCs, arteriograms, nephrostomy tubes, and therapeutic interventions. Experience with lower extremity angiograms and interventional cases is needed. The majority of catheterizations are performed using a radial approach, but some femoral access may be required. The role does not require the traveler to circulate, as an RN will handle circulation duties. The position entails support from a small, collaborative team, along with department leadership. Technology and equipment utilized include EMR systems, monitors, and specific unit equipment. The unit fosters a teamwork-oriented culture. Scheduling will be Monday through Friday with no weekend or on-call requirements. The facility will be closed on major holidays.
