Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Data Engineering Manager to lead the design, build, and optimization of our next-generation data warehouse. This role is ideal for a senior data engineer or architect who thrives on solving complex data challenges while mentoring and managing a small team of seasoned professionals.

As the Data Engineering Manager, you'll split your time between building scalable data infrastructure and enabling your team to do their best work. You'll play a critical role in shaping our data architecture, streamlining data pipelines, and ensuring high data availability and quality across the organization.

What You'll Do (Functions & Responsibilities) Leading the end-to-end development of a modern data warehouse from architecture to deployment, with an emphasis on scalability, performance, and reliability Working with business leaders and stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure the data architecture supports their goals. Implementing measures to maintain data accuracy, integrity, and security across the organization's data systems. Choose appropriate data storage, processing, and analytics technologies based on business requirements and strategic goals. Establish guidelines for how data is managed, used, and governed within the organization. Working with more than 100+ directly connected data sources throughout the Inhabit ecosystem. Oversee daily operations and provide guidance and support to team members. Coordinate tasks, delegate effectively, and manage resources to ensure projects are completed efficiently. Qualifications

What We're Looking For (Minimum qualifications)

10+ years of professional experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of designing and building scalable data infrastructure. 3+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, ideally in high-performance or cross-functional teams. Deep experience with modern data stack tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Spark, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar. Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and distributed systems. High level of interpersonal skills to enable collaboration with other functional groups and individuals to meet overall business objectives. Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Education Requirements
