Description
OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for an Assembly Set Up III who will be responsible for leading complex assembly station setups, optimizing production workflows, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment. This position requires deep technical knowledge of assembly processes, equipment, and tooling. The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership skills, advanced mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and efficiency
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Independently prepare, configure, and verify complex assembly stations and fixtures for high-precision production runs
Analyze setup procedures and production flow to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements that enhance productivity and reduce downtime
Diagnose and resolve complex setup and equipment issues, coordinating with maintenance and engineering teams as necessary
Interpret blueprints, work instructions, setup sheets, and engineering drawings to ensure proper configuration of tools and equipment
Serve as a subject matter expert and provide training and guidance to junior Assembly Set-Up Technicians and operators
Conduct thorough pre-production inspections to verify tooling, equipment, and station setups meet quality and safety standards
Liaise with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to support smooth and efficient production handoffs
Ensure all required components, tools, and fixtures are available, organized, and staged efficiently
Actively participate in lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives to streamline processes and reduce waste
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in assembly, setup, or production support roles in a manufacturing environment preferred
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, assembly tools, and manufacturing equipment
Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
Proven ability to lead and mentor team members
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving equipment setup and calibration issues
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments
