Job Description
Team Leader Provides frontline supervision and training to the department regarding proper registration and insurance verification and also assists patient registration training in identifying areas of improvement. Supervises the daily workflow of the team and assists the executive director and departmental manager in meeting the Laboratory Patient Access Business Services needs and implementing and monitoring departmental procedures and or/programs.
1. Oversee daily employee production and continually monitor quality of verification and patient registration staffs.
2.Provide supervision to the evening registration staff's, including disciplinary action when required and distributes the Lab Referred packets accordingly.
3. Assist in monitoring accurate registration of patients with referred accounts.
4. Assist and report staff's schedule, and PTOs, and report all activities to the department Manager.
5. Completes DNFB's and Unprinted bill reports for the department.
6. Assist with live registration as needed, including some weekends.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested in order to maintain a high level of service. Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements. Demonstrates professional work behavior by following service standards and success factors. Complies with departmental organizational policies and procedures and adheres to external agency requirements.
Qualifications
Two years of college, and/or two to four years prior equivalent experience in a healthcare setting is required. Computer literacy in PC environment is required with strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Supervisory and public relations skills required. Knowledge of clinical terms and coding helpful.
