Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
Join a leading manufacturer of garage doors, where you will play a crucial role in the production process. This is a long-term, full-time position with a 90-day contract-to-hire structure. You will be part of a team that follows the construction season, with the busiest period typically in the summer.
Responsibilities
Read tape measures accurately and operate hand and power tools.
Perform basic arithmetic operations such as adding and subtracting.
Engage in physical tasks including bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
Participate in team lifts of up to 100 lbs.
Clean work areas and properly store tools.
Assemble sections of garage doors, including adding bottom seals, end caps, and panels.
Label panels and work collaboratively within a team.
Read and follow order instructions.
Hand load trucks and unload incoming shipments without the use of forklifts.
Verify and manage receipts of shipments.
Replenish and transfer materials to appropriate departments.
Maintain cleanliness in work areas and manage materials, including inventory tracking and supplier communication using Excel.
Perform assembly work such as installing windows and using routers to cut panels.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic arithmetic.
Experience in operating hand and power tools.
Capability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1-3 months of experience in manufacturing.
Experience with assembly, packaging, and inspection processes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.15/hr.
