Pay, Schedule, Location Starting at $17/hour, paid weekly Excellent benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision 5:00 am to 1:30 pm (available to do overtime) Located in Minooka, IL Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with conducting and records test procedures for products and raw materials and maintains Test Equipment (Raw materials Inspection, Retention Samples, Weight Checks, and Calibrations etc.) Provides QC related instructions and concerns when directed by the supervisor or manager Observes and educates warehouse workers when related to QC Assist with ongoing coaching and feedback Continuously improve performance of the team based on the key performance indicators and recommendations of QC management Assists department/workers in solving quality related issues Active participant in the efficient implementation of quality standards programs and processes to improve operational efficiencies and reduce/eliminate production waste and HOLD product Learn and enforce all GMP's and SOP's and ensure training effectiveness in application of job skills Product Hold and functions operate in compliance with the quality system. Participation in a group on safety topics, quality procedures and updates for the month Participates in teams and programs as assigned. Conducts special test procedures to analyze components and physical properties of product materials Maintains time and testing records, reporting daily/monthly. Suggests QC process improvements, when applicable. Compiles and analyzes test information to determine trends or seasonal issues Suggest and follow-up on corrective actions. Review all paperwork daily (own and production) to ensure it is complete and accurate. Oversee cleanliness of warehouse as needed Assist in audit preparedness as necessary Maintain a good working relationship with warehouse employees Participate in and assist with Quarterly Employee Training, Procedure training, and other hands on training as necessary. Work collaboratively with members of the QC department to verify SOPs Ensure compliance with the client standards throughout the manufacturing facility Additional duties as requested by QC Management Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and relevant certifications Food processing experience preferred but not mandatory Familiarity of GMP's and HACCP protocols HACCP or SQF Certified a plus The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job Ability to work independently and multitask Ability to work varied schedule including weekend and early morning shifts Proficient in Microsoft Office Ability to pay close attention to details, meet deadlines, and work with a diverse work force Ability to work well with others Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time May be required to tolerate working environment with inside controlled temperatures of 36 degrees Fahrenheit and inside ambient temperatures (including heat and cold) Occasionally work overtime, evenings, or weekends in order to complete work Must be able to work standing up or sitting down for long periods of time Must be able to traverse and access all areas of a warehouse environment Must be able to work in a Distribution Center environment with a variation of temperatures
