Overview

The Material Handler position starts at $27.27 per hour. M-F with occasional OT on the weekends.

The position will also be responsible for admin & clerical support for the Materials Department business processes and functions. Includes all aspects of materials management including but not limited to; inventory control, shipping/receiving of products and materials, scheduling transportation for outbound shipments, parts packing, & distribution of materials to production departments. This position will report to the Shipping/Receiving supervisor.

Responsibilities

Ensure shipments meet DOT/EPA requirements, including hazardous waste handling. Coordinate with carriers, customers, and transportation agents to maintain OTD and satisfaction. Oversee compliance, documentation, and reporting. Support Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives. Audit processes for accuracy and adherence. Load/unload trucks; manage and restock inventory. Perform cycle counts and maintain floor stock levels. Manage shipping/receiving using JDE, CMMS, and L2L systems. Handle production supplies, machine parts, and materials. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent; 1-3 years shipping/receiving experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and JDE systems. Strong communication skills (verbal & written). Ability to read/interpret safety rules, manuals, and technical documents. Problem-solving and decision-making ability. Work independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated, dependable, and adaptable. Preferred:

Manufacturing experience Experience working in a team environment Forklift experience PHYSICAL Requirements

Stand, walk, extend arms for reaching and use hands to perform tasks. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk through congested warehouse areas. Regular use of safety glasses and steel-toed shoes and use of respirator as required. Vision requirements; close vision. Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Ability to occasionally lift a minimum 25 lbs. and 26 to 150 lbs. with assistance of equipment. Must be able to work extended shift hours and weekends as needed.
