Job Summary:
Payday Express is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and reliable
Customer Service Representative / Loan Specialist
to join our Grand Forks location. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with the public, has a strong sense of integrity, and is comfortable handling financial transactions.
You'll assist customers with loan applications, payments, and account questions while ensuring compliance with state and federal lending regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Greet and assist walk-in and phone-in customers in a professional, courteous manner Process loan applications and conduct necessary verification (ID, income, bank info, etc.) Collect payments and issue receipts, ensuring accurate cash handling Educate customers about loan terms, fees, and repayment expectations Perform daily balancing of cash drawers and prepare bank deposits Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions and documentation Follow all internal policies and state/federal guidelines (including compliance with Iowa payday lending laws) Monitor customer accounts and make collection calls as needed Support store cleanliness, organization, and other administrative duties as assigned Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required Previous experience in customer service, retail, or financial services preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic math skills and comfort with handling cash Computer literacy (basic data entry and use of internal software systems) Reliable, honest, and able to maintain confidentiality Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks Must be at least 18 years of age Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time or part-time available Must be available to work during store hours: Mon :
9am-6:30pm | Tue-Thu :
9am-6pm | Fri :
9am-6:30pm | Sat :
10am-2pm | Sun :
Closed Competitive hourly wage Paid training provided
