Project Manager

Founded in 2019, Swift supports Civilian, Defense, and Intelligence Community customers across the country and around the globe. We are seeking a Project Manager in Reston, VA. The Project Manager serves in a corporate position and is primarily responsible for managing a large portfolio of subcontract work. Directly supervises employees dispersed across several WMA locations and engages with prime partners to support programs for the IC and DoD. The successful candidate will bring a collaborative mindset and will have experience assessing potential employees for their technical skills across various categories (e.g., software engineering, data engineering, cyber security, systems engineering, etc.). Additionally, exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and willingness to contribute to growth initiatives are characteristics that would contribute to success in this position. Responsibilities: Foster strong employee relationships through regular check-ins, career development support, and conflict resolution Guide employees through performance improvement plans, role transitions, and workplace challenges Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and internal mobility across programs Coordinate timecard submissions, program hour tracking, and schedule adherence Support employees in understanding and utilizing company benefits (healthcare, PTO, 401(k), etc.) Build and maintain strategic relationships with Prime contractors and industry partners Communicate staffing needs, program updates, and candidate submissions to internal/external stakeholders Interpret and apply knowledge of government contract types (e.g., CPFF, FFP, T&M) and regulatory frameworks (FAR, DFARS) Ensure compliance with contract deliverables, reporting requirements, and performance standards Track and analyze program metrics to assess health, identify risks, and verify funding Contribute to proposal development by providing staffing plans, labor categories, and pricing inputs Collaborate with technical leads to ensure staffing aligns with mission requirements and contract scope Support program transitions, expansions, and re-competes with strategic planning and execution Partner with recruiting teams to define job requirements, update position descriptions, and prioritize hiring needs Review candidate qualifications and submit vetted talent to prime contractors Requirements: Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree Demonstrated experience managing at least 15 employees with understanding of HR best practices Strong understanding of technical staffing and/or work in the IT arena Understanding of subcontracts and subcontract staffing Understanding of basic contractual concepts Must be open to occasional travel to customer sites US citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance required Desired Experience: Experience supporting IC contracts Experience with business development and growth activities Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00 The Swift Group and Subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
