Cloud Engineer
with an
Active Secret Clearance
to support secure, mission-critical infrastructure for a federal client. This role is hybrid with onsite work required 3 days per week in
Ft. Meade, MD
.
Responsibilities for the Cloud Engineer include: Architect, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure solutions in Microsoft Azure. Design and maintain Kubernetes clusters for containerized workloads. Administer and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins. Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible. Ensure systems meet DoD security and compliance standards. Monitor and optimize performance, capacity, uptime, and security across cloud and hybrid environments. Support incident, problem, change, and knowledge management processes. Collaborate with internal teams and government stakeholders to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues. Participate in on-call rotations and change management duties. Qualifications for the Cloud Engineer include:
Active DoD Secret Clearance (required). Bachelor's degree with 5+ years or Associate's degree with 7+ years in cloud or infrastructure engineering. Expert-level experience with Azure, Kubernetes, RHEL, Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible. Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity management, and security best practices. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps methodologies. Familiarity with DoD compliance frameworks (e.g., STIGs, RMF) is preferred. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work onsite at Ft. Meade, MD three days per week. Compensation for the Cloud Engineer includes:
Salary range: $165,000 - $195,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Paid Holidays, Sick leave, STD, LTD, Flexible Hybrid Schedule.
