A client of Insight Global is seeking a Network Engineer with expertise in Palo Alto Networks technologies to support a Department of Defense (DoD) program. This full-time, on-site role in Rosslyn, Virginia involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, high-performance network infrastructures that meet DoD cybersecurity standards. The engineer will configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama, develop secure network architectures, monitor performance, and optimize capacity. Responsibilities also include creating and maintaining network documentation and SOPs, and supporting vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts in collaboration with cybersecurity teams.
$60/hr to $75/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience • TS/SCI • Bachelors Degree in a related field o 5 years of experience in network engineering • Specifically 3 years of Palo Alto experience • IAT Level II Certified • Experience configuring, managing, and optimizing Palo Alto Firewalls directly and via Panorama • Understanding of Palo Alto features such as App-ID, User-ID, URL filtering, GlobalProtect VPN, and threat prevention • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs). • Familiarity with DoD security and compliance frameworks
