About the Role:
The Fork Lift Operator at the AESC Battery Plant plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials within the facility. This position is responsible for operating forklifts to transport raw materials, components, and finished products to designated areas, supporting the overall production and supply chain processes. The operator must maintain a high standard of safety and compliance with all operational guidelines to prevent accidents and damage to goods. Attention to detail and coordination with warehouse and production teams are essential to maintain workflow continuity and inventory accuracy. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the plant's operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by facilitating timely and accurate material handling.
Minimum Qualifications: Valid forklift operator certification or license. Proven experience operating forklifts in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Basic understanding of warehouse safety standards and material handling procedures. Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines and operational instructions. Physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting, standing, and operating machinery for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a battery manufacturing or consumer support services environment. Familiarity with inventory management software or warehouse management systems. Additional certifications related to workplace safety or equipment operation. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the plant premises safely and efficiently. Inspect forklifts daily to ensure they are in good working condition and report any maintenance needs promptly. Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for self and others. Coordinate with warehouse and production staff to prioritize and manage material movement according to production schedules. Maintain accurate records of materials moved and assist in inventory management as required.

The required skills such as forklift operation and safety compliance are applied daily to ensure materials are moved efficiently without incident, directly impacting production flow.
