PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
This is a responsible part time position which encompasses data terminal entry activities and varied clerical duties, the ability to exercise independent judgment and appraisals in the implementation and maintenance of related state and/or federal mandated formulas, research and respond to inquiries related to departmental activities.
The work performed requires a high degree of accuracy and the ability to perform audits of all data entered, satisfaction of time schedules and deadlines for related entry, the ability to perform terminal entry in a fluent and uninterrupted manner, applications, receive and respond to inquiries relevant to such formulas and related interrogatives.
Part time position, up to 19 hours per week, typically 9am-1pm.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs daily data terminal entry activities for all source documents of the respective department. Utilizes Microsoft Excel for the collection of data and documentation of office related spreadsheets. Gathers data from automated departmental processing system to generate derivative reports. Assists in the requisite audits of data terminal entry to ascertain accuracy of records. Performs file maintenance, document upkeep, codification and cataloguing of all source documents for orderly retrieval and audit. Performs research functions of data related to terminal entry and/or all other inquiries relevant to the respective department. Updates and maintains department files relevant to state and/or federal mandated formulas, and contractual imperatives, assists in the research and response to interrogatives of such mandated formulas. Utilizes Microsoft Word to assist in the preparation of office related correspondence. Performs other duties as required EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited high school supplemented by 3 to 5 years experience in computer terminal entry; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of and experience with data entry procedures. Skill in the operation of computer terminals. Ability to configure worksheets and understand functions of Microsoft Excel software package. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word software package. Knowledge of arithmetical computations and tabulations and the ability to perform computations with accuracy and speed. Knowledge of clerical tasks and ability to readily adhere to prescribed routines. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to operate various office related equipment and to quickly learn other computer software programs related to activities of the department. Ability to research and assimilate data and present findings in readable narrative form for inquiry response. Ability to understand and implement formula related equations. Ability to perform all tasks related to department document maintenance, codification, labeling and cataloguing according to prescribed departmental standards. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City employees and the general public. SALARY, BARGAINING UNIT & TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a General Fund, "Non Tested" position.
This part time position is not eligible to receive medical benefits, vacation pay, holiday, union membership, or union contractual benefits. Any period of part time employment will not be construed in any way to mean probationary employment. Persons may not be employed in two concurrent part time positions with the City and/or the Board of Education at the same time.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of: (1) a pre-employment background check, and (2) a pre-employment drug screening in accordance with the City's Drug Free Workplace Policy*.
