Description
Position Summary:
The Manager, Data Management and Analytics, has oversight and responsibility for the development department's implementation and utilization of the database of record, Raiser's Edge NXT, and gift management and acknowledgements for The Family Place. The Manager is the liaison with the Finance Department, as well as external vendors and consultants employed to improve and maintain our technology assets to ensure an efficient and integrated process for managing donors, vendors, gifts and grants. The Manager will provide key analytics to the Leadership and Development Team and will be responsible for training staff on data best practices and systems use, as well as creating a professional development plan for increasing database knowledge and best practices.
Key Responsibilities Manage department daily operations and projects, including gift processing, constituent record management, data integrity, database management and hygiene, and reporting, ensuring that gifts are processed within 48 hours of receipt and acknowledged within 5 business days of receipt. Assign staff security roles within current CRM. Facilitate support for website logins and security rights for both staff and external customers. Facilitate and train team on the creation and maintenance of donor groups, including lists, memberships and other constituencies. Spearhead continuous improvement and process automation efforts. Proactively seek out best practices in gift processing and constituent record upkeep Develop and maintain department plan of action. Ensure gift processing operations adhere to IRS gift substantiation requirements. Participate on cross-departmental and cross-functional teams as Data Management and Analysis expert. Collaborate with accounting staff to reconcile monthly, quarterly and yearly gift activity within CRM, financial and other systems. Develop and manage data back-up system. Educate staff on data best practices & systems use Direct cross-training of department staff Safeguard the security and sensitive handling of confidential information Act as liaison to external partner campaigns. Resolve gift adjustments, refunds, disputes, chargebacks. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferred in related field, Five (5) to seven (7) years proven experience managing relational databases, including specific experience with Raiser's Edge and other Blackbaud products. Five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience supporting gift recording procedures. Experience working with accounting, financial and accounts receivable processes. Current working knowledge of IRS gift substantiation requirements. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Texas Driver's License

Working Conditions:
Duties are usually performed seated with occasional periods of standing or walking. Limited physical effort is required associated with lifting and carrying objects (less than 25 pounds). Work may be performed in but is not limited to an office environment.
