Cardiovascular Technician Schedule:

this is a full-time role that will work 4, 10-hour shifts/week from 7 am to 5:30 pm. This role also includes a call requirement that is usually one weekend/month and a total of 10 days out of the month. On average, our on-call employees come in about 10-15% of the time they are on call. More about our team This is an opportunity to work in a unit of four Cath labs that averages about 57 cases/week. Our Cath Lab team is a close-knit unit that has a strong relationship with the physicians who provide learning opportunities for the staff. We are regional leaders in best practices, programs and procedures that include TAVR, carotid stenting, PTAB, DBA and renal denervation. How you'll contribute A Cardiovascular Technician who excels in this role: Performs various cardiovascular/vascular procedures including monitoring of diagnostic and interventional procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Operates specialized equipment for use in diagnostic and vascular test and therapeutic interventions performed in the Cardiac/Vascular Cath Lab Scrubs at the tableside and monitors patients as assigned.

Transports patients

Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

What we're looking for Applicants should have an associate's degree in radiologic technology or cardiovascular technology. Additional requirements include: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with a thorough working knowledge of practices and experiences in a Cardiac/Vascular Cath Lab. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) within 90 days of employment. One-year cardiovascular lab or special procedures experience preferred. Must be able to perform all vascular/cardiac procedures involving the operation of imaging equipment including assisting the physician during the actual catheterization procedure.
