Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: General Ultrasound Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: RDMS-AB required Certifications: BLS; RDMS-OB or RVT preferred Must-Have: - Experience in adult, emergency department, and outpatient settings - Proficiency with PACS and Siemens systems preferred - Experience with abdominal aorta, appendix, breast, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, pediatrics abdomen/pelvis, and spleen - Knowledge of 1st to 3rd trimester ultrasounds and fetal anatomical surveys - Experience with paracentesis, thoracentesis, ultrasound-guided biopsy, and fine needle aspiration - Skills in bladder, hernia, ovaries, prostate, renal, transvaginal, uterus, vaginal, breast cyst aspiration, breast ultrasound, superficial masses, testicles/scrotum, and thyroid procedures Description: The Ultrasound Technologist will perform a variety of ultrasound exams. Candidates must demonstrate advanced skills in general ultrasound studies, including abdomen, renal, small parts, gynecological, and limited obstetric for viability. Experience with limited vascular procedures such as liver doppler and renal transplants is required. The role involves conducting biopsies, fine needle aspirations, and drain placements. The technologist will assist in the operating room for procedures such as D&C, D&E, tandem ring placements for radiation treatment, and prostate biopsies. Candidates should possess experience with infants and pediatric patients. A commitment to patient care and adherence to policies regarding attendance and punctuality is essential. The position involves a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences. All compliance requirements must be met in a timely manner. Candidates should be prepared to float to different campuses as needed.
