Senior Backend Engineer - Metadata Catalog / Governance Automation
Mission
The mission of the Data & Analytics (D&A) team is to enable ADM's business users to easily discover, understand, and access trusted data products. The Metadata Catalog UI will serve as the front-end interface providing product owners and executives with visibility into what source data underpins each product, where commonalities exist across products, and how data can be leveraged consistently across the organization.

The Metadata Catalog UI will serve as the front-end interface, giving product owners and executives clear visibility into the source data behind each product, surfacing commonalities across products, and enabling consistent, reusable use of data across the organization.
Key Responsibilities Front-End Development
Design and build responsive web applications using React.js and modern front-end technologies. Implement mobile-first design principles to support seamless experiences across devices. Build reusable components and libraries that align with ADM's design system. Integrate APIs to surface metadata and lineage information from platforms such as Databricks Unity Catalog and ServiceNow.

Collaboration & Alignment
To Work closely with UI/UX designers, product owners, and Commercial D&A delivery teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. Partner with Global Technology (GT) teams, including Service Delivery and Apps teams, to ensure consistency and scalability. Participate in agile ceremonies, coordinating daily with the Scrum Master.
Quality & Standards
Ensure adherence to code quality standards and enforce best practices (code reviews, unit/integration testing,?85% coverage). Optimize performance and scalability of the UI. Deliver clear technical specifications, documentation, and production-ready code.
• Deployment & Support
Deploy front-end applications to Azure Cloud (Static Web Apps, Azure AD/B2C, App Gateway). Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, YAML) and version control (Git). Support handover and scale-up of front-end solutions to production. Profile •
Core Skills
Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS, and MUI, with strong fundamentals in component-based design. Experience with state management (Redux) and API integration (REST, OpenAPI, Redux Toolkit Query). Familiarity with design systems and tools such as Storybook. Strong understanding of testing frameworks (React Testing Library, Jest, Jasmine). Experience with Webpack or Vite builders.

Cloud & DevOps
Experience deploying and scaling front-end apps on Azure Cloud. Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines in GitHub and YAML scripting. Git version control proficiency.

Additional Skills
Experience with React Native or mobile optimization is a plus. Knowledge of other front-end frameworks (Angular) desirable. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience. 5+ years of demonstrated front-end development experience. 3+ years developing enterprise-grade web applications using React. Experience working in agile delivery models.
