Electrical Assembly Technician (1st Shift)- 6:30am-3pm+OT- 2 associates needed Skills in circuitry, soldering, wiring, troubleshooting down to the component level, schematic/blueprint reading, PCB boards. Experience using multi-meters, hand and power tools, oscilloscopes Pay: $30/hr
Denton, TX Position Title: Electrical Assembly Technician Position Overview
Responsible for assembly and functional validation of complex electrical assemblies.
Duties & Responsibilities • Test fitting and function testing of sub-assemblies for insertion into upper-level assemblies. • Read/understand complex instructions. • Interpretation of electrical drawings and diagrams. • Understanding and checking BOM content for part numbering / descriptions for accuracy and completeness. • Route wiring through tight locations with detail to prevent wire pinching and stress through mechanical function ranges. • Test equipment against specifications for assembly performance validation. • Troubleshooting for correction / repair of assembled weld control systems. • Interpret schematic, wiring diagrams and assembly drawings to troubleshoot issues in a logical manner. • Implement technical solutions using safe and standard industrial practices. • Track and document labor time spent and report unit's failure issues with assembly and testing to determine root cause. • Set up effective test fixtures and tooling. • Document repair activities through appropriate record keeping systems as directed. • Identify and report trends and patterns with equipment assembly failures and problems. • Conduct scheduled test equipment maintenance (e.g. cooling units, torch block, etc.) • Complete assignments and tasks on time in accordance with production schedules and Supervisor direction. • Ensure that the service process is fulfilling Company's commitment to delivering the highest level of product quality and customer satisfaction in the automated welding market. • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and order condition following Lean principles including 6SWork overtime as needed to meet critical deadlines and/or provide customer support in other time zones. • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications Language Capabilities • Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English.
Education Requirements o AA degree in electrical technology or equivalent work experience in electrical and mechanical assembly, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
Technical Requirements • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) • Ability to read schematic and technical drawings. • SAP experience preferred
Experience Requirements • Minimum 2 - 5 years' experience as an Electrical Technician. • Excellent problem-solving skills. • Experience with welding. • Good Communication Skills. • Experience operating hand and power tools, oscilloscope, Multi-meter, soldering and faulttesting equipment.
