Caring. Connecting. Growing together. Surgical Technologists are allied health professionals, integral to the team of medical practitioners providing surgical care. They work under the supervision of surgeons to facilitate safe and effective surgical procedures, ensuring a safe environment, proper functioning of equipment, and maximized patient safety. They are experts in asepsis, sterile techniques, and apply their knowledge of anatomy and surgical procedures to support physicians during invasive and diagnostic procedures. Primary Responsibilities:

Participate in and maintain a culture aligned with The Corvallis Clinic's Service and Behavioral Standards. Assess patient status during pre-op interviews and continuously throughout care. Provide safe, therapeutic care utilizing nursing processes, documenting interventions and responses. Ensure organized and timely patient care. Utilize nursing care standards in planning and execution. Communicate patient condition information to relevant staff including surgeons and anesthesia. Follow physician's orders accurately and promptly, documenting all activities. Assist anesthesia staff as needed. Understand and consider each patient's cognitive, physical, emotional, and chronological maturity in assessments and care. Participate in the orientation and training of new employees. Maintain competencies to function effectively within the RN scope in the specific area. Protect sedated and anesthetized patients by identifying hazards and maintaining privacy and body temperature. Exhibit expertise in safety principles, asepsis, sterile technique, and universal precautions. Assess, anticipate, and implement appropriate care throughout the surgical process. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program. Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications:

Over 1 year of experience in a Main OR. Experience in multispecialty surgeries such as Orthopedics, GYN, Urology, General Surgery, ENT, and Ophthalmology. Knowledge and Skills:

Understand procedures and anticipate surgeon needs. Ensure quality patient care during operations and maintain a sterile field. Ability to don OR attire and PPE, prepare supplies, and set up sterile fields. Maintain skills in equipment usage and troubleshooting. Prepare instrumentation and supplies proactively. Maintain high standards of sterile technique. Possess basic clinical skills for patient care. Work effectively with providers, staff, and patients. Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Adhere to policies on confidentiality, infection control, safety, attendance, and appearance. Participate in quality improvement activities. Compensation and Benefits:
