Travel to Office expectations For Remote Roles : If this role is remote, there will be in-office events requiring travel to Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City offices, including onboarding, team events, and regular team meetings.

For Hybrid Roles : If this role is Hybrid, you must reside within commutable distance to the specified office. This includes regular in-office events with your team.

Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Architecture, the Principal Enterprise Architect will shape and optimize our technology landscape. This role collaborates with business leaders, contributes to the strategic vision of the Enterprise Architecture practice, and ensures alignment of technology initiatives with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Execute the strategic vision for the Enterprise Architecture practice under leadership guidance.

Lead enterprise architecture work across business, solution, application, data, and technology domains, aligned to major business areas.

Participate in the Architecture Review Board (ARB) to contribute to sound technology decisions and minimize technology debt.

Architect and develop IT capabilities that enhance operations, workload orchestration, and user-facing automation.

Evaluate and rationalize the application portfolio, recommending retirements, consolidations, or replacements as needed.

Define and enforce application architecture standards and guidelines.

Provide guidance on secure, scalable, and maintainable architecture designs and maintenance.

Contribute to target state solution architectures, architectural assessments, and roadmaps.

Partner with data and integration architects to support data management and seamless data flow across systems.

Collaborate with solution architects to ensure alignment with overall enterprise architecture.

Work with business leaders to create business capability models aligning technology with business needs.

Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to leverage new technologies.

Demonstrate and evaluate AI solutions via experimental methods.

Foster a learning community within the enterprise architecture discipline and deliver value across business units.

Required Experience & Skills

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

5+ years of experience as an Enterprise Architect with a solid understanding of relevant areas.

Experience planning and leading architecture delivery for large-scale business and systems transformation programs.

Technical knowledge in foundational security, foundational AI, and architecture design is a plus.

Experience with marketing and sales technologies including Marketo and Salesforce.

Familiarity with TOGAF/EA methodologies, ITSM/ITIL process design, cloud strategy, Agile, and security frameworks.

Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, CISSP, and public cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Proven track record leading large-scale initiatives from concept to delivery in AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Salesforce Agentforce).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience in data, application, or solution architecture, integration, risk management, and technology standards.

Experience defining and implementing technology governance frameworks and enterprise data management.

Strong understanding of security architecture principles and cloud strategy implementation.

Experience in business capability modeling and translating business needs into technology solutions.

Salary : $153,000 - $170,000 a year
