Orthopedic Technician

The Orthopedic Technician supports the direct patient care clinical activity of the orthopedic surgeons and providers in the orthopedic ambulatory practices. The technologist is responsible for coordinating all activities related to casting, bracing, DME, wound care, suture/staple removal, order and maintaining of supplies, inventory, and care of equipment. Direct responsibility for application, removal, and adjustment of casts and soft goods. Provides assistance to the medical staff with orthopedic procedures whenever needed to expedite the patient care process. Responsibilities include promoting patient education and safety, enhancing customer satisfaction, demonstrating understanding of resource utilization, and completing all other duties as assigned. 0-2 years preferred. High School/GED required. Vocational/Technical School required. U.S. Armed Forces Military Medical Core experience, Athletic Trainer Certified MA experience 1 year under direct supervision of Orthopedic Surgeon. USD $22.00 - USD $35.00
