Job Duties: Consistently keeps department/equipment stocked and clean. Demonstrates knowledge of EPIC processes, PACS, charges and confidentiality. Demonstrates knowledge of equipment functions, safety, image transmission and troubleshooting. Demonstrates knowledge of imaging protocols and provides quality radiographs. Keeps current on department communications (emails, postings, monthly updates, etc.). Performs patient exams within proper time frame. Properly recognizes and demonstrates knowledge of when/how to contact physicians for emergency results. Demonstrates knowledge of surgical procedures for x-ray exams performed in surgery. Consistently uses radiation safety protocols such as shielding, announcing x-rays, etc. Demonstrates knowledge of imaging protocols and provides quality radiographs. Performs EKG's and demonstrates knowledge of when/how to contact Cardiologist for routine and STAT orders. Assists in training of new hires and direct education of other medical staff members. Required Certifications/Licenses: Must be a graduate of a recognized Radiologic Technologist program. Licensed by the applicable State Department of Health as a Radiologic Technologist, certified by the ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist, and maintain annual renewal/registration with the certifying organization. If registry eligible by the ARRT, employee must be certified within 36 months in accordance with department policy. BLS CPR certification for healthcare providers. Revocation or inability to maintain licensure and/or registration may result in termination.
