Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (08:00 - 18:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in interventional radiology License: State licensed Certifications: BLS, ARRT Must-Have: Proficient in both peripheral vascular interventional radiology and neurovascular interventional radiology. Ability to scrub both peripheral and neuro cases including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrogram, and vascular studies. Description: First-time travelers are accepted. For this position, there is a call requirement every third or fourth weekend starting from Friday at 17:30 until Monday at 07:00. Technologists need to be able to scrub both peripheral and neuro cases. The department operates four interventional radiology rooms. Two of these rooms are single plane, and two are biplane. Two technologists are assigned to each room, with one circulating and the other scrubbing. Responsibilities include level 1 trauma, level 1 pulmonary embolism, and level 1 stroke procedures. Additional duties encompass various vascular interventional and neurointerventional procedures. These procedures include angiograms, embolizations, nephrostomies, inferior vena cava filter placements, pulmonary embolism thrombectomies, intracranial thrombectomies, stent placements, and central line insertions. Technologists are required to provide care and maintenance for central venous access lines. Travelers are expected to float within the hospital or affiliate hospitals nearby. All travelers must meet the required certifications for the position. Background checks will be conducted prior to hire.
